The terms under which P4 Web Studio is provided.
Last updated: June 1, 2026
1. The studio
P4 Web Studio is a division of P4 One LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company ("we," "our," "us"). We design, build, host, and maintain custom websites. These terms cover every engagement that runs through p4webstudio.com — quote-stage work, the Site Rescue Audit, full builds, and ongoing care plans.
2. Quote requests & proposals
Submitting a quote form is a request for a proposal, not a contract. After the form comes in, we'll reply with scope questions, a written proposal, and a fixed price (or a clearly bracketed range). Work does not begin until the proposal is accepted in writing and the project deposit has cleared.
3. Project deposits & payment schedule
- Deposit. Most full builds require a 50% non-refundable deposit at signing to reserve the build slot and cover discovery, design, and the initial development phase.
- Balance. The remaining balance is due on launch, before the site is pushed live on your domain.
- Larger projects may be milestone-billed (e.g., 33% deposit, 33% at design approval, 34% at launch). The exact schedule is spelled out in the proposal.
- Payment method. Project payments are invoiced through Stripe. Card and ACH are accepted.
4. Delivery timelines
Typical timelines are agreed in the proposal and start from the date we receive a signed agreement, the deposit, and all required content. The delivery clock pauses when we're waiting on client content, approvals, or third-party access. Reasonable delays on either side are normal; we communicate updates as they come up. Hard deadlines (event launches, grant windows, contract due dates) can be guaranteed only when called out in writing in the proposal.
5. Revisions scope
- Every build includes a clearly stated revision allowance in the proposal — typically two rounds of design revisions and one round of post-launch refinement.
- A "round" is one consolidated batch of feedback, delivered in writing, covering one stage of the work.
- Revisions beyond the included rounds, or changes that fall outside the agreed scope (added pages, new features, redesigns of approved work), are billed at our standard hourly rate or quoted as a change order.
6. Site Rescue Audit
The Site Rescue Audit is a one-time paid deliverable paid via Stripe. After payment clears, we review the site you submitted and return a written audit covering performance, structure, accessibility awareness, and conversion notes. The audit is delivered within the timeframe stated at checkout. The audit is informational and does not include implementation work — implementation is quoted separately.
7. Care plans
- Care Plan — $49/month — ongoing hosting oversight, security updates, small content edits, monthly maintenance report. Other tiers may be offered from time to time on the pricing page.
- Care plans are billed monthly via Stripe under recurring billing.
- You can cancel any time from the Stripe customer portal or by emailing us; the plan will end at the close of the current billing period.
- We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial months. Cancel before your next billing date to avoid the next charge.
- We may pause or terminate a care plan if a covered site is moved off our hosting without notice or if the engagement becomes unworkable; in that case we'll refund any unused, fully-paid months.
8. Client content & ownership
- Your content stays yours. Text, images, logos, and brand assets you provide remain your property. You grant us a license to use them in the build of your site.
- You own the final site. On full payment of the agreed balance, you own the design, copy we wrote for you, and the deployed site files for your domain.
- We retain our toolkit. Underlying frameworks, component libraries, reusable patterns, and internal templates that we built before or apart from your project remain ours, and we may reuse them on other projects.
- Portfolio rights. Unless you ask us not to in writing, we may show the finished work in our portfolio and case studies and mention you as a client.
9. Hosting & third parties
Sites we build are typically deployed on Netlify and may rely on third-party services such as Stripe for payments and Google Analytics 4 for traffic data. Those services are governed by their own terms. We use providers that meet standard industry expectations, but we are not responsible for third-party outages or policy changes outside our control.
10. Service availability
For hosted and care-plan clients, we aim for high uptime but don't guarantee 100%. Maintenance windows may briefly pause a site. We make a reasonable effort to communicate planned maintenance in advance to active care-plan clients.
11. Warranty disclaimer
The services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Performance metrics, search ranking, conversion rates, and audit findings depend on third-party data sources and may vary over time.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of P4 Web Studio services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption.
13. Acceptable use
- Don't ask us to build, host, or promote sites that violate U.S. law.
- Don't use hosting we provide to send unsolicited bulk email or distribute malware.
- Don't resell or rebrand work we delivered as if it were built in-house elsewhere without written permission.
We may suspend or terminate any engagement that violates this section. Deposits are non-refundable in cases of termination for cause.
14. Changes to the service or these terms
We may update our services or these terms. The current version is always at this URL. Material changes that affect active care-plan clients will be communicated by email.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey.
