Twelve years on the mat, eight teaching. Slow vinyasa, with attention paid to where the breath is.
Slow is the practice.
Stillwater is a one-room studio in a converted carriage house. Four teachers, twelve classes a week, a retreat each spring and autumn. The schedule is short on purpose.

One page. Updated Sundays. Booking opens at noon the day before each class.
Four practitioners, four traditions.
Each teacher came to this practice through someone. We name them here.
Sixteen years on the practice. Brings a quiet room. Restorative and yin, with permission to actually stop.
Twenty-one years on the practice. Long forms, deep stretches, a sequence that feels like a piece of music.
Nine years teaching. Iyengar lineage. Props, precision, and the kind of pose that gets better the longer you hold it.
If you have never been to a yoga class.
A six-class series for first-timers. Small group, one teacher, six Sundays. You will leave knowing what every pose is for, what every word means, and how to walk into any class on our schedule.
The intro series is not yoga — it is permission to begin.
